THIN LINE - A POEM

002.jpeg

It’s one thing to take it personal

it’s another to be fully aware…

it’s one thing to desire change

it’s another to hate your hair.

They don’t want us in their spaces

so, we creatin’ our own

forced outta communities…

now forcin’ legalities for zones

I hope y’all see what’s going on

and make a change in your ways

cause you work a nine to five

don’t mean you can’t hold ya own.

Treat me with respect

or leave me a lone.

if your’e offended -that means-

these lyrics part of your song…

Recognize the difference -between real and fake -

I smell the must of hate

hate people that imitate

cater to those who have faith -and don’t fool with none who hate my race-

We can always be in first place

when we’re fully aware …

It’s one thing to take it personal

It’s another not to care.

Thin Lines 11/18/19

1:58-2:02 PM

Sittin’ in the Auction House takin mental notes.

This poem is a bout how thin the line is between everything, Black pride, racism, accountability, consciousness and creativity.

Wake up and see the sun. Please.

Much love, God Bless
